Teacher Games

Rules and entry conditions

These are the core rules for the founding Teacher Games cohort. The paid-entry flow is only active when the in-app Teacher Games checkout is live, public places remain available, and the current terms version is shown before payment.

Last updated: 21 June 2026. Rules version: teacher-games-2026-v1. Scoring version: teacher-games-score-v1.

Important: Teacher Games is a skill and performance competition, not a random prize draw. Teachers are expected to work on their profile, market their page, teach through the platform, collect real reviews, and grow measurable results.

Key conditions

Prize

GBP 10,000 for the verified winning teacher.

Places

500 founding places. LearnMusic may raise places from 500 to 1,000 if demand and capacity support it.

Entry

Create a teacher profile, accept the current Teacher Games terms, and pay the one-off GBP 79.99 entry fee while public places remain available.

Waitlist

Normal waitlist joining is free. Checkout closes when public places are already full before payment starts.

Recruitment deadline

Recruitment closes at 00:00 on 1 January 2027 in Europe/London — the instant 31 December 2026 ends. New checkout, waitlist, and reservation confirmation are closed from that instant.

Teacher Pro

GBP 29.99 per month, sold separately. It is not required to enter Teacher Games and is not included with entry.

Prize eligibility

Paying the one-off GBP 79.99 entry fee vests a reserved place, and a vested place is what makes an entry prize-eligible. Refunded, charged-back, voided, or cancelled payments do not count, and a waitlisted entry is not a reserved place.

Activation

The Games do not start automatically. LearnMusic manually authorises the cohort after readiness checks.

Cohort

The first cohort is Teacher Games Class of 26/27. Its target measurement window is 1 January 2027 to 1 January 2028, subject to formal owner activation and any approved postponement under these rules.

Winner selection

The winner is decided from objective verified platform performance data, frozen scoring rules, tie-breakers, eligibility checks, winner verification, and final approval. There is no random draw.

Winner publication

LearnMusic may publish or make available winner information required to show a valid award took place. Entrants can object to or ask to reduce public winner information where the rules allow.

No guarantee

No student numbers, earnings, ranking, or prize outcome are guaranteed.

1. Who can enter

Entry is for UK teachers or teaching businesses accepted onto the LearnMusic teacher platform. You must provide accurate profile, contact, identity, payment, and payout information where requested.

Duplicate accounts are not allowed. We can review entries for duplicate identity, duplicate payment/payout patterns, reused profile content, unusual related-party activity, fake student activity, fake reviews, fraud, or safety concerns.

2. How entry works

To reserve a place, create a teacher profile, meet the current profile-completeness threshold, accept the Teacher Games declaration, and pay the one-off GBP 79.99 entry fee. A place is not reserved merely because you land on the public page or start checkout.

When public places are already full, paid entry closes. Joining any normal waitlist is free and never requires the entry fee.

Stripe payment confirmation is still required before the platform creates a reserved place. If a place disappears after checkout starts but before payment confirmation is handled, the system may place the teacher on the waitlist instead of silently claiming a reserved place.

Recruitment closes at 00:00 on 1 January 2027 in Europe/London — the exact instant 31 December 2026 ends. New checkout, waitlist, and reservation confirmation are closed from that instant, even when a teacher is browsing from another time zone.

3. Entry, Teacher Pro, and prize eligibility

Entry to Teacher Games is a one-off payment of GBP 79.99 and does not require Teacher Pro. Teacher Pro remains a separate optional growth plan at GBP 29.99 per month, with its own value starting immediately after successful payment.

Paying the entry fee vests your reserved place, and a vested place is what makes an entry prize-eligible. Refunded, charged-back, voided, or cancelled payments do not count, and a waitlisted entry is not a reserved place. Because Teacher Pro is a separate product, starting or cancelling it never affects a Teacher Games entry in either direction.

4. Activation and measurement

LearnMusic manually authorises the Teacher Games start. The cohort does not automatically begin when 500 places are reached. Before activation, LearnMusic checks cohort readiness, legal/rules readiness, tracking, emails, dashboard notifications, scoring, and operational capacity.

The first cohort name is Teacher Games Class of 26/27. Its target start is 1 January 2027 and its target measurement window runs to 1 January 2028. The cohort still starts only through formal owner activation. Arun Mcgoay or an authorised LearnMusic owner can delay activation or postpone the cohort under these rules before the Games formally start.

Activation will define the cohort name, activation date, measurement start date, measurement end date, judging date, prize amount, terms version, scoring version, and eligible entrant list.

5. Scoring

Scoring is based on verified platform data. It is designed to reward real business growth, consistent effort, and student outcomes. It is not based on community popularity or random selection.

Revenue and paid lesson results

Completed paid lessons, verified lesson revenue, and consistent lesson delivery.

Student growth

New students, active students, recurring students, and retained students.

Quality

Student rating, review strength, retention, response quality, and teacher-caused cancellation/no-show behaviour.

Consistency

Sustained growth over the measurement window, not a single short spike.

The private leaderboard shows entrant progress inside the cohort. Exact revenue is private to the teacher and LearnMusic admins. Public Top 10 display is limited to consenting entrants and public-safe fields.

Final winner verification requires the frozen scoring version, a published score snapshot, tie-breaker review, eligibility checks, no unresolved safety or fraud flags, audit-pack evidence, objective scoring or independent judging confirmation where required, and admin approval before any prize payout is approved.

6. Cancellation or postponement before activation

If Teacher Games is cancelled before activation, eligible entrants do not receive a cash refund for delivered Teacher Pro value. Eligible entrants receive one month of Teacher Pro credit and free entry to the next Teacher Games cohort if one launches.

This credit/free-entry position does not apply where the entrant is disqualified because of false information, fraud, safety issue, duplicate account, or rule breach.

7. Disqualification and review

LearnMusic can place an entrant on review hold or disqualify an entrant for false information, duplicate account behaviour, payment fraud, related-party manipulation, fake student activity, fake review activity, safety concerns, community abuse, or other serious terms breach.

Disqualification removes active prize eligibility and active leaderboard visibility. Historical data may be retained for audit, fraud, dispute, legal, and platform integrity reasons. Teacher Pro access may be cancelled separately depending on severity.

Sanctions ladder

LearnMusic can move straight to a stronger action where the risk is serious, but the normal ladder is designed to keep decisions proportionate, recorded, and reviewable.

1

Guidance or warning

Used for low-risk issues such as unclear claims, poor community etiquette, or first-time mistakes that can be corrected quickly.

2

Content removal or moderation

Used when posts, comments, profile claims, reviews, or shared material breach community or platform rules.

3

Review hold

Used when LearnMusic needs to investigate safety, fraud, duplicate account, payment, review, student activity, or scoring-integrity concerns.

4

Withdrawal or eligibility restriction

Used where an entrant asks to leave, cannot meet entry requirements, or should no longer be displayed while review continues.

5

Disqualification

Used for serious or confirmed breaches including false information, fraud, safety issues, duplicate accounts, fake student or review activity, or serious rule breach.

Review holds, withdrawals, and disqualifications require a written admin reason and are retained for audit. Where appropriate, entrants can submit an appeal or dispute for review.

8. Community, resources, and public display

Entrants may receive access to Teacher Games resources, a private community, and the private leaderboard. Community participation can help teachers learn, but community posts, likes, or popularity do not directly add score.

Public Top 10 display requires consent. Consent can be withdrawn, and withdrawal removes the teacher from future public display while the private entrant leaderboard remains visible to active entrants.

9. Privacy, tracking, and advertising

LearnMusic records first-party event data to understand the Teacher Games funnel and to attribute campaign performance. Browser marketing events are controlled by cookie and marketing consent where required.

See the privacy policy and cookie policy for platform-wide data and cookie information.

10. Support and disputes

Questions about Teacher Games entry, checkout state, cancellation, disqualification, scoring, or prize verification should be raised through LearnMusic support or the complaints route.

Email team@learn-music.co.uk or open the complaints route.
